New Year, New Me: Slower, Softer, More Intentional

A new year, a new me… am I right? 🩵

Welcome back! We’re easing into the new year a little slower over here—and honestly, that’s exactly how I want this year to feel. Slow and intentional.

As we move toward the end of January, I’m allowing myself to truly settle into 2026 instead of rushing it. This year is about doing things with intention, centering back in, and focusing even more deeply on what truly matters. Not that I wasn’t before—but each year you learn different things.

Why Slowing Down Matters to Me

Last year was a big year of growth and learning for me, especially when it came to my health. After working closely with my doctor, I was told I have Hashimoto’s and more with my health. That kind of changed my life.

I knew I didn’t want to immediately rely on medication, so I made intentional lifestyle changes instead—and those changes transformed not only my health, but my passion and purpose. I learned how deeply connected the body truly is, and that knowledge lit a fire in me that I cannot wait to bring to the forefront this year.

Slowing down, being intentional, and educating you all on these deeper layers of health and wellness are some of the biggest things I’m choosing for 2026.

A More Holistic Approach to Esthetics

This year, I’m excited to share new sides of esthetics—ones that go beyond the surface. I want to teach more about the body as a whole, because the skin is not separate from what’s happening internally.

The skin is your largest organ. It’s often the first place your body shows you that something needs attention. It asks you to slow down, to listen, to tune in—and I want to help guide you through that process.

Of course, I’ll still be here for your waxing, facials, and self-care moments. This space will always be one where you can relax, release stress, and take care of you. But this year, we’re expanding that care to be even more intentional and whole-body focused.

A Very Exciting Addition ✨

One of the most exciting changes coming this year is that I’ll be welcoming Elly to the Glisten & Glow family.

Mentoring and guiding someone has always been something close to my heart. Growing up, I actually wanted to be a teacher—but I chose esthetics instead, and I’m so grateful I did. Now, I get the best of both worlds.

Bringing Elly on allows me to pour into someone else, help build her up, and grow together. I truly hope you’ll welcome her with open arms. If you have friends or family who have been wanting to get in for services, Elly will be a perfect fit. She is beautiful soul with the perfect mix of comfort and silly. If you love me you'll love her! She is a gem.

And don’t worry—I’m not going anywhere. I’ll still be in the treatment room, still seeing my regular clients, and still doing what I love most. You all mean the world to me, and I’m endlessly grateful for your support (and for loving me through the chaos 🤍).

Adding Elly simply allows me to step out of the treatment room just a little—so I can create more consistency in my personal life and show up as the best business owner I can be. Learning these things the hard way. 😉

A Rebirth of the Business

This year truly feels like a rebirth for Glisten & Glow.

I’m stepping into 2026 with more structure, systems, and organization than ever before. You’ll start to see some of these changes roll out, including:

  • One product ordering day per month: Orders will be placed at the beginning of each month (on the 1st). If something is out of stock, it will be replenished then. So you might have a little longer wait time for orders but this is needed to streamlined on the backend.

  • New clients added quarterly to my schedule: This helps me prioritize my current clients while still allowing space to welcome new faces as space allows while giving everyone the proper attention.

Because of this, I highly encourage everyone to pre-book appointments, especially facial clients. These longer time slots are harder to fill last-minute, and most clients find success pre-booking 2–4 appointments at a time.

Updated Hours & Scheduling

I’ll also be slightly tweaking my hours. So here is what I’ll be grooving with. As Elly joins we will give further updates about her. Currently waiting to hear on state boards give us a month or so! 🙂

New appointment hours:

  • Tuesdays:
    9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
    2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

  • Wednesdays:
    Alternating weeks
    • 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM or
    • 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

  • Fridays:
    9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
    2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

  • One Saturday & one Sunday per month:
    9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
    2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

What’s Coming Next

This year, you’ll see more healthcare-focused conversations, advanced treatments with deep relaxation, education, and maybe some new treatments with Elly. 😎 I’m exploring certifications like microneedling (yes… I think this is the year 👀), and Elly will be offering services such as lash lifts, lash extensions, and body treatments like scrubs and hydration.

We’ll also be improving communication to a few platforms.

  • An Instagram channel for last-minute openings and cancellations will be added to keep in the know

  • Email updates for availability as well yet

We’re cross-posting so it’s first come, first served for openings as ways we post.

I personally will be accepting new clients quarterly, with a waitlist option coming soon to the website for those interested in facials, Brazilian waxing, or epigenetic hair analysis. Elly, however, will be welcoming all new clients.

Looking Ahead

Everything coming together this year feels so aligned—my health, my business, my personal life, and my purpose. I truly believe 2026 is a year of movement forward, growth, and beauty.

Be kind to yourself this year. Your thoughts matter. Look at challenges not as setbacks, but as lessons—opportunities to grow stronger and wiser.

Here’s to a beautiful year ahead.
Let’s get 2026 ✨

With so much gratitude,
Linley
